Celebrating the warmth of winter at Festival du Voyageur 2026

Full program launched, artists, winter activities, food, maple taffy and more!
Festi-season is here! Festival du Voyageur is celebrating its 57th edition from February 13 to 22, 2026 at Whittier Park and its Official Sites.

The full program, including performances, artists, activities, and contests, is now available atwww.heho.ca.

“An amazing lineup of talented artists is set to liven up the multiples stages at Festival du Voyageur this year,” says Breanne Lavallée-Heckert, Executive Director of Festival du Voyageur. “This year’s event will be one for the history books as we reopen Maison Chaboillez (made possible with the support of Bockstael Construction and The Winnipeg Foundation) and welcome festivalgoers to this kitchen-party like no other. Festivalgoers are encouraged to lace up their boots, throw on their toques and mitts and make their way to the park to take in all the activities and programming of the most festive week of the winter. The team and I are looking forward to sharing our culture and joie de vivre with the community!”

FDV2026 is featuring performances by TOPS, Five Alarm Funk, Katie Tupper, Dwayne Gretzky, Neighbour Andy, Jeremie Albino, LGS, Le Diable à Cinq, Damien Robitaille, and many more. The very popular Voyageur Pride Night will be held on Friday, February 20 and feature Velma Jones (Canada’s Drag Race).Local talents such as Les Barn Boys, l’Ensemble folklorique de la Rivière-Rouge, Les G-Strings, Men in Kilts, Ivan Flett Memorial Dancers, Ila Barker, JD Edwards Band, Sweet Alibi, Attica Riots, among many more will bring the festi-vibes to the large tents.

Fort Gibraltar will open its wooden doors to everyone looking to discover life in 1815. Festivalgoers will be able to interact with historical interpreters in the blacksmith’s shop, the winterer’s cabin, the trading post, the woodworking shop, and learn about the history of the voyageur era. Take a self-guided tour to get the most out of the fort!

The Festival du Voyageur Museum is not to be missed! Adorned with treasures and memorabilia from festivals of yesteryear such as official buttons, sashes, official programs, artwork, retro photos, and more, discover the history of the festival itself and its cultural importance in the community.

Family-friendly activities are back! Horse drawn sleigh rides, snowshoeing, ice sculpting, snow skate park, tubing, outdoor winter playground, pea soup competition, and a free pancake breakfast will be offered on Sunday, February 22 at 10AM for the first 200 people. For the young at heart, offered again as a staple of the festival is the Caribou in an ice glass and new this year, festivalgoers will be able to purchase a souvenir cup and experience a “Bière brûlée” (heated beer with a beer spike from the fire which caramelizes the flavour of the beer – in partnership with Nonsuch).

On Monday, February 16, Louis-Riel Day, enjoy free bannock while participating in the come-and-go Bannock Babes drag performances in Maison du Bourgeois, or join the Métis kitchen-party in Maison Chaboillez, walk around the park in the Maarsh aek li Michif (Métis parade), make a craft in the teepees and check out the hide tanning demonstrations at the winter trading camp, share stories at the Infinity Fire, and get some souvenirs from Indigenous vendors at the Louis-Riel Day Market.
