Selkirk, MB – James Bezan, Conservative Shadow Minister for National Defence released the following statement on his re-appointment to the Conservative Shadow Cabinet. Bezan is the longest-serving Shadow Minister for National Defence, having held this position for over a decade. He remains devoted to holding the government accountable.

“It is an honour to continue serving as the Shadow Minister for National Defence as part of the Conservative team focused on strengthening our Canadian Armed Forces and national sovereignty.

“I am grateful that our Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre has placed his confidence in me once again in the role of Shadow Minister for National Defence. I am committed to continuing to stand up for the women and men of the Canadian Armed Forces and to fight for those who fight for us.

“Our Conservative Shadow Cabinet team is focused on protecting our streets, strengthening our economy, and ensuring Canada meets its defence obligations under NATO. We will continue to fight against wasteful spending, insider deals, and policies that weaken Canada’s security and prosperity.
