BROOK JONES/SELKIRK TIMES James Bezan gives thumbs up as he is out and about on the campaign trail. The longtime member of parliament is seeking his eighth election victory.

James Bezan was first elected to the House of Commons in 2004 and he shows no signs of slowing down. The longtime member of parliament for Selkirk—Interlake—Eastman was re-elected in 2006, 2008, 2011, 2015, 2019 and 2023.

Despite all of his election success, Bezan was pounding the payment with members of his campaign team in Selkirk on the afternoon of April 11.

According to Bezan, the Conservative Party of Canada will axe the tax, fix the budget, build the homes and stop the crime.

Canadians go to the polls on Monday, April 28.
