Joy Smith Foundation hosting gala to support survivors

The Joy Smith Foundation is thrilled to announce the Illuminate Hope Gala, an evening dedicated to supporting survivors of human trafficking and advancing prevention efforts. The event will take place on February 20, 2025, at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Funds raised will support the Foundation’s critical work in prevention, education, and survivor support, while also driving the development of the Teaching Campus, set to open in 2027. The campus will equip communities with tools to prevent trafficking and provide survivors with resources to heal and rebuild their lives.

“The fight against human trafficking demands collective effort,” said Janet Campbell, CEO and President of the Joy Smith Foundation. “The Teaching Campus will be a bridge for healing and creating safer communities for Canadians.”

With Canada’s Human Trafficking Awareness Day two days after the gala, this event is an opportunity for Canadians to unite, support survivors, and to take action in the fight against this heinous crime.

Tickets are available at www.joysmithfoundation.com or by calling (204) 691-2455.
