Showcasing automobiles, motorcycles while supporting elementary school children

The first Annual Crowns & Chrome Country Roads Festival and Show & Shine is taking place Aug. 29 at the Petersfield Motor Hotel.

The community celebration runs from 1 to 6 p.m., with registration beginning at 12:00 
p.m. and will feature an automobile and motorcycle Show & Shine, live music, prizes, raffles, a silent auction, 
family activities, vendors and much more.

The event is being run by Crowns & Chrome Sisterhood which is a non-profit organization, and one of the 
causes closest to our hearts is our Backpacks & Lunch Kits for Kids 
Initiative.

Crowns and Chrome are collecting backpacks, lunch kits, school supplies and snacks, then fill 
them for elementary school children who may otherwise go without some of 
the basic necessities they need for school.

“We want every child we can reach to begin the school year feeling prepared, included and knowing 
that someone in their community cares about them,” said Kathy Shupena who is the Founding Matriarch.
