Joy in Action raising funds to fight human trafficking

The Joy Smith Foundation is once again hosting a fundraiser called Joy in Action.

The annual fundraiser runs Aug. 17 to 25 and whether you like to run, walk or bike, your activity will make a difference.

People are able to participate in the following activities:

  • walk 5 km,
  • run 5 km or 10 km, or
  • cycle 10 km, 25 km, or 50 km

It all starts by uniting as a community dedicated to taking the small steps that will lead to big results. Together, we can be a part of the solution to end human trafficking in Canada!

Although the realities of human trafficking are horrific, you can make a difference!

About Human Trafficking

Human trafficking can happen to anyone in any community across our country. Every day, girls, women and boys are manipulated and recruited into the sex trade and forced labour. What may start as a seemingly innocent conversation online or in real life can quickly turn into something tragic.
